Quality of Life
This project reflects data as of Aug-25.
Project Overview
This project will provide infrastructure improvements to the Fairgrounds at Riverdale Regional Park including new barns, a new outdoor covered arena, a new midway, a great lawn area for festival use, needed upgrades to utilities and overall site grading and drainage improvements.
Why it matters?
Most of the buildings and facilities at the fairgrounds were built in the 1960s and 1970s and were not laid out in a logical way to support agricultural use. These improvements will not only set the fairgrounds up for the construction of a future indoor arena, but also bring the agriculture-based components of the facility together on the north part of the fairgrounds to adequately support the grandstands, outdoor covered arena, additional open arenas and the new indoor arena. The midway needs to be relocated as the proposed indoor arena is planned for the space that the midway currently occupies.
