Safe, Reliable Infrastructure
This project reflects data as of Aug-25.
Project Overview
Facilities and Fleet Management (FFM), the CMO, and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office will work together with the BOCC to develop options for addressing deficiencies at the Adams County Detention Center. This may include developing a proposal to construct a new detention center or conducting a substantial remodel of the existing facility.
Why it matters?
Adams County is the second-fastest growing county in the Denver region with more than 520,000 residents. Unfortunately, the County’s resources to provide essential services have not always kept up with demand. One area where this pressure exists is with the county’s detention center, a facility that is over 40 years old, is past its intended lifecycle, and has significant deficiencies due to the years in service, changing operations and judicial requirements, as well as numerous expansions to address the growing population of Adams County.
